I had a wonderful weekend at the East Coast Chalet!

Saturday was fun with the BBQ, Taboo game and Night cycling, although it was a small group but we had the absolute fun of a big group! We discovered a new barbeque item…

Firstly, toast a piece of plain bread over live charcoals, next, grill a stick of marshmallow till it turns brown , then, place the toasted bread on a paper plate and the cooked (melted) marshmallow on top of the toast-to-crisp bread and EAT IT. This item gives you that sinful sensation of as though you had jus finished a pot of melted milk chocolate.

Sunday was super eventful. I watched the sunrise with my lovely meimei Chin Sze, from 630 to 700, took a cab back and slept for 5 hours. Woke up and left for my “supposedly” Macritchie TreeTop Walk and rushed back to the chalet at 3.30. Checked in and realized that door jus cannot be open no matter how much dinosaur force I have, I just cannot open it. Plus, I have to constantly keep a lookout for this particular cat which is trying its very best to sneak into our chalet.

Close to about 6, all decorations were up and the caterer have almost had all food sent in. guests began to make their way in, in an orderly manner, haha. And finally Kelly & xinkai.

Now I know how it feels to be part of a Surprise Party Team. Definitely a memorable one.

yoo hoo! i'm goin for my chalet in about 2 hours time! i'm suppose to be one of the helpers, but kelly say "it's ok" so i tot i might as well spend some time blogging.. hee

i went chinatown temporary market ytd for the famous Mongkok dimsum, but guess we were TOO early so most of the stalls are still closed at 10am. so after my chee cheon fun, we proceed for grocery shopping.

my mama's favourite yong tua foo stall. the uncle's stall (unit 01-99) was aplying R&B-umbrella, uncle Yong had his hair dyed in bright blue too. shocking can, especially so in a wet market. haha

and then, we proceed to purchase some eggs. i like the packaging:

den i went off to meet jac at tampines. chose cafe cartel. and i finally get to eat my long-awaited waffle!

we then realised that we cant stop talking the moment we see each other. so no other appointments shall be arrange when we meet up the nect time round. hee...

Exams are finally over! And it is definitely a “it’s over” for MDP, like literally…

right after exams, it was chill out time! i was prettily dress in my grey dress... but i ended up so un-glam, perspiring all over at the floating platform of Marina Bay! watching fireworks with mel. haha but it was WORTH IT. only when you are there will you understand why mel is always so persistent on watching one.. -the fireworks were launched into the sky creating a magical display of sparkles-

Then, on Sunday, I attended service with xinkai and Kelly.. I think this two person look more and more compatible each day 拉.haha

Pastor Prince definitely gave an interesting sermon today and with his clever use of words, he gave this sentence which I’m sure it happened to almost everyone.

You can be lying motionless on bed but your mind is racing a Formula One! Isn’t it so true? This always happen on your most emo days, when it’s all dark and quiet… you just cannot stop thinking..

Ex-director called at 11.30am to check if I wanna join him @ a country club. Pretty tempting thou. Why do these Full-Time jobs offer come only when I have decided to leave Marriott and go on full-time studies. I’ve got an job offer that brings me traveling! –if not for the fact that I have sign up with SMa, I think most probably I would have taken up the offer.

Xinzi called at 12.30pm on a part time job, good money, but it was cancelled as they needed someone who can commit for consecutive days.

We cant go Borocay… *sadden+disappointed*
Reasons:

Long traveling hours.
9.40am flight departs from Singapore
1.20pm reach Manila
Await transit for domestic flight
3.00pm flight departs from Manila
4.15pm to reach Caticlan
1 and a half hour coach ride to Jetty
30mins boat ride (finally) to Borocay

This stretched travelling hours alone eats up ¾ of a day. If we were to go on a 3D2N trip, we will reach on a Friday evening, have fun on a Saturday, and depart on Sunday morning. We can also do an extension of one night still. but
With all the above, it adds up to $715. Top it up to a thousand and we can be in Japan! –next destination please!-

I’m angry. I am deceived by Melissa Tan who asked me to be online @ 130am. It is now 152am. Totally Unacceptable! When I even took the time out of my revision schedule just to make sure that I am here as per promised. And Melissa Tan is no where to be found.
I demand an answer from you. Incorrigible creature. (the last reason I want to hear is that you are sleeping!)

I just couldn’t stay focus on my lecture notes during my revision, so I am always searching through my drawers for books to read. At my last resort, I read the dictionary. and I saw this word: Chopsuey.

It is not a regular vocabulary, but rather, a dish with the explanation that goes:
A Chinese dish of small pieces of meat fried with rice and vegetables

So I thought it must have been a famous dish with such rich heritage and significance for it to appear in a dictionary! I googled it and here’s the picture of it-

And then.. this is the so called… -Chopsuey- abit disappointing cause I have seen this plate of vege almost everywhere! And according to my search results, it is actually a Pilipino dish, and not a Chinese one.

i have officially handed in the Murdoch application form to Jaslyn. it should not be a problem for Murdoch to accept me into THIER campus. all will be left with the Student Visa at the embassy's side. -i pray for the best-

We never apologize in quarrels. Because the both of us know we are each other’s terrible friend!

I close my eyes to her thousand faults of F*** words and serious sleeping disorder. She embraces my random sarcasm. That was how the door to our friendship swings open and never closed…

I know, we will sing joyfully on the mountain tops and walk silently beside each other through the valleys... you guys ROCK!
